Calculate area of polygons and volume of 3D shapes including prisms and cylinders.
Calculate the area of different shapes!
Calculate the volume of 3D shapes!
Area measures the space inside a 2D shape, measured in square units.
Example: length = 8, width = 5
Area = 8 × 5 = 40 square units
Example: base = 10, height = 6
Area = ½ × 10 × 6 = 30 square units
Example: bases = 8 and 12, height = 5
Area = ½(8 + 12) × 5 = 50 square units
Example: base = 9, height = 5
Area = 9 × 5 = 45 square units
Note: Height is the perpendicular distance, not the length of the hypotenuse
